RS Mata Makassar: Journal of Ophthalmology is a scientific journal published by RS Mata Makassar and accepts articles written in both English and Indonesian expected becoming a media conveying scientific inventions and innovations in medical or health allied fields toward practitioners and academicians. Normally published times a year in (July, December) using a peer review system for article selection. Papers dealing with results of in the form of case report, systematic review, and clinical research related to visual science for ophthalmologists, eye nurses and medical support in other fields of Ophthalmology. Focus and scope

RS Mata Makassar: Journal of Ophthalmology is a scientific journal published by Makassar Eye Hospital and accepts articles written in both English and Indonesian expected becoming a media conveying scientific inventions and innovations in medical or health allied fields toward practitioners and academicians. Normally published two times a year in (July, December) using a peer review system for article selection. Papers dealing with results of in the form of case report, systematic review, and clinical research related to visual science for ophthalmologists, eye nurses and medical support in other fields of Ophthalmology.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow focus and scope, and author guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to do the similarity checking. Editors check the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal by using a Turnitin software.
The research article submitted to this journal will be double blind review at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers. The time required by reviewers to complete a round review process is three weeks. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by Editors according to reviewers comments. Publication of accepted articles including the sequence of published articles will be made by Editor in Chief by considering sequence of accepted date and geographical distribution of authors as well as thematic issue.

Publication Frequency

RS Mata Makassar: Journal of Ophthalmology is published two times a year in July, December.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Free access to the full text of all published articles without charge readers or their institutions for access.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

Copyright Notice

The author should be aware that submitting an article to this journal will fully transfer the article's copyright to RS Mata Makassar: Journal of Ophthalmology. Authors are allowed to resend their manuscript to other journals or intentionally withdraw the manuscript only if both parties (RS Mata Makassar: Journal of Ophthalmology and Authors) have agreed on the issue.
